The application of ecological gentle slope embankment in the comprehensive improvement of embankment and waterfront in Wu Qingdi

In the planning of the Central Business District (CBD) of waterfront district in Qingshan, the existing embankment is replaced with the ecological gentle slope, which transforms the monotonous and scenic-blocking flood controlling structure into the belt of connecting the city, the waterfront and Yangtze River. The design of the new embankment foundation allows more space for urban development; the sponge city concept is integrated into beach layout, which effectively enhances the capacity of flood control. The city landscape along the river and regional urban functions are improved.
