    Application of the optimization model for flood scheduling of Fenhe Reservoir in Shanxi Province in weather forecasting floods

    • In terms of the flood process of Fenhe Reservoir based on the meteorological forecast, the optimal operation of flood control in Fenhe Reservoir in not only an effective method to prolong the implementation time of flood plan of Fenhe Reservoir, but also can effectively reduce the flood pressure.The flood regulation optimization model of Fenhe Reservoir is used to optimize the flood operation of Fenhe Reservoir during the inflow process caused by the blue, yellow, orange and red early warning rainstorms.Compared with the original scheduling result, the optimized scheduling scheme reduces the peak discharge of the inflow flood caused by the regional blue, yellow, orange and red warning rainstorms in the Fenhe Reservoir by 170.0 m3/s, 50.0 m3/s, 50.0 m3/s and 155.8 m3/s, respectively.Applying the optimized scheduling scheme under red rainstorm, the safety risk of the dam of Fenhe Reservoir is reduced from the first-level risk of the original dispatching scheme to the second-level risk.The flood optimization scheduling scheme can effectively reduce the flood pressure on Fenhe Reservoir and downstream under the condition of weather flood forecasting.
