Summary and discussion of urban waterlogging control policies in China

In recent years, flooding has become a common and complex global issue, severely affecting people's normal production and lives as well as the safety of their lives and property.China pays high attention to urban waterlogging and has issued a series of policy documents since the 18th National Congress of the CPC to strengthen urban waterlogging management, pointing out the direction and providing general and universal management ideas for urban waterlogging control.To deeply understand the spirit of these policies and guide local waterlogging control, this paper summarizes the existing documents from several aspects including management goals, governance ideas, key tasks, and safeguard measures.By comparing the practices of some cities in tackling waterlogging, this paper puts forward suggestions for implementing policy requirements, in order to provide references for promoting urban waterlogging control in various regions.
