    A comprehensive solution to waterlogging in old and high density urban areas of coastal regions—Taking the Hedong Area of Qinhuangdao City as an example

    • Under the background of systematically promoting the construction of Sponge Cities, the comprehensive management of urban waterlogging has become the top priority of urban renewal and construction in China. Taking Hedong drainage basin of Qinhuangdao City as an example, this paper proposes to use the nature-based solution (NBS)to solve the urban flooding problem and to improve water quality in old and high-density urban areas at the same time. The main contents include the flooding cause analysis, the design principles of distributed green rainwater infrastructure and the construction of sponge backbone infrastructure network.
