Abstract: This paper discusses drought condition in Shaanxi Province and the methods for determining drought warning flow and water level. Focusing on drought warning index selection and calculation analysis, drought warning water Level and flow for major rivers and reservoirs are determined. The results indicate that the methods are credible and are in accordance with the practical conditions. Determining drought warning water level is the foundation of emergency drought relief and management. Furthermore, the suggestions for hydrological drought warning are proposed.
