Abstract:
During the rare autumn flood response process in the Zhanghe River Basin in 2021, the joint scheduling of upstream reservoir groups greatly reduced the pressure on downstream flood control. By analyzing the monitoring data of the main control hydrological stations and the scheduling of the reservoir group in the upper reaches of the Zhanghe River, the Xin'anjiang model and Masjingen method were used to restore the flood of the Zhanghe River, determine the flood recurrence period of the main control stations, and analyze the effectiveness of the joint scheduling of the reservoir group in the upper reaches of the Zhanghe River. The results show that the peak flow recurrence periods of Shiliang Station in Zhuozhang River, Kuangmenkou Station in Qingzhang River, and Yuecheng Reservoir Station in Zhanghe River are all around 5 years, and the maximum 5-day and 15-day flood recurrence periods are both around 10 years; The joint scheduling of reservoirs in the upper reaches of the Zhanghe River has achieved significant results. The peak discharge, maximum 5-day discharge, and maximum 15-day discharge of the Yuecheng Reservoir have been reduced by 21%, 13%, and 9%, respectively. The highest water level has been reduced from 154.13 m to 152.30 m, greatly reducing the risk of flood control by the reservoir dam. The number of people submerged in the reservoir area has decreased by more than 2 000, the number of houses submerged has decreased by 56 500 m
2, the amount of farmland submerged has decreased by about 466.7 hm
2, and the economic losses caused by flooding have decreased by 147 million yuan.
